It was sent from France for celebrating the 100 years of United states independence in 1886. There is a historical background that France supported the United States in the past. Thats so interesting!

The Statue Of Liberty(自由の女神像）です！
New Yorkを象徴する建造物ですね！
意外と知られていませんが
実はこのStatue Of Liberty(自由の女神）はアメリカが作ったものではないんです！
1886年にアメリカ独立100年記念を祝い
フランスから送られたものなんです！
アメリカの独立を支援していたという歴史背景が垣間見えて
面白いですね！
